Quality Sealcoating

An asphalt seal coat is a great way to establish instant curb appeal, but more importantly, the purpose of a seal coat is to protect your asphalt investment. With the price of asphalt material and labor to install a new driveway or parking lot getting more expensive every day, now is a perfect time to have preventative maintenance done on your driveway or parking lot. High-Quality Products

Feasel Asphalt uses only the highest quality seal coat. This product is called Brewer Cote, a commercial-grade seal coat with 52% solids compared to 48% from other seal coat manufacturers. By using Brewer Cote, you get more solids per gallon of material which means you get more for your money and better protection on your asphalt.

We also use sand and an additive Diamond Shield Fortifier (DSF). DSF is a liquid composition, active curing additive.

  • DSF is NOT a latex-based additive.
  • DSF does NOT contain any acrylic or resin hardeners known to cause seal coat cracking and flaking prematurely like some other additives.
  • DSF improves the flexibility of the cured film and enhances bonding and film strength.
  • DSF works through a patented Active Cure Technology. Until DSF, seal coat could only cure through the passive curing process. This requires the sun to naturally cure a film when its heat and ultraviolet rays are applied.
  • DSF is the only patented active curing process on the market. Latex-based products have no active curing property and require the sun and the heat of the passive curing process for a seal coat film to cure when used.

Additional Products

We also use sand and a latex additive called Tarmax. Tarmax was initially designed for federal airport specifications, so you can tell your neighbors that your newly sealed driveway meets FFA standards. Tarmax has many benefits, including:

  • increased oil & gas resistance
  • increased flexibility
  • seal coat stays darker longer
  • seal coat is less susceptible to scuffing & power steering marks
  • Brewer

Benefits To Sealcoating Your Asphalt Parking Lot Or Driveway

  • Sealcoating your pavement seals the small cracks that will eventually turn into large cracks; this also prevents water from seeping down to the base material, which can cause your asphalt to fail and a pothole to start
  • Another benefit to sealcoating is that it protects the asphalt from the harmful sun and chemicals like oil and gas, which without the cover of sealcoat will cause a hole to develop
  • Sealcoating your asphalt seals off the pavement, which minimizes the intrusion of water from rain and snow & prevents damage from the freeze-thaw cycle. Otherwise, the driveway or parking lot can fail and crack, which could lead to alligator cracks.
  • Sealcoating your asphalt pavement also helps prevent erosion and oxidation of the top layer of asphalt.
